Internet Access
You must have a computer with Internet access.

Many Internet users now have pop-up blockers to stop annoying web advertising. Unfortunately this software also sometimes blocks legitimate page links. This course may occasionally instruct your browser to open a new window when you click on a link to an external web site for optional content. We recommend that you allow pop-ups from this site or add thelearningportal.ca to your trusted sites list so that you can easily access this extra information.
Please Note
: The final exam for this course and the course completion certificate require that your browser be able to open a secure window. You will not be able to write the exam or receive your certificate if a pop-up blocker prevents these windows from opening. Please consult your Internet browser, search toolbar (e.g.: Google or Yahoo) or anti virus or firewall security software help files for information about disabling pop-up blockers.

Here is a fairly up to date browser specific list of suggestions that might help if you are not sure how to disable your pop-up blocker(s):

Screen resolution
For an optimal experience of this course, it is recommended that your screen resolution be set at 1024 x 768 or higher. A screen resolution of 800 x 600 will enable access to the content but not the full functionality. You may experience difficulty with navigation and some on screen elements may be cut off or not display correctly.
